Problem solving story: What would you do - The bus stop dilemma

One stormy night, after a long and exhausting day at work, a successful businessman was driving alone in his brand-new sports car. He could already picture himself pulling into his garage, slipping into his comfortable chair, and enjoying a quiet evening at home. The thought of relaxation was comforting, but fate had a different plan for him that night. As he approached a red light near a deserted bus stop just a few miles from home, his eyes caught sight of three people waiting in the cold rain. The first person was an elderly woman who looked weak and fragile, as if she might collapse at any moment. Her frail hands trembled as she clutched her thin coat tightly around her shoulders. The businessman immediately felt a pang of concern that she needed help, and she needed it fast. Next to her stood a familiar figure an old friend from his past. This was no ordinary friend this was the man who had once saved the businessman’s life. The businessman had never truly expressed his gratitude, and now, after all these years, fate had brought them together again. And then his heart skipped a beat. There, standing beside them, was the woman he had always dreamed of, the love of his life. He had admired her from afar but never had the chance to speak to her. This could be his one and only opportunity to finally meet her.

His hands gripped the steering wheel as he realized the dilemma he faced. His car had only one passenger seat. He could only take one person. Should he choose the elderly woman, ensuring she reached the hospital in time to receive the care she desperately needed? Should he offer a ride to his old friend as a way of repaying the life-changing favor from years ago? Or should he stay and talk to the woman who might be his soulmate, knowing he may never get this chance again? His mind raced, torn between logic and emotion. But then, an idea sparked a solution that would allow him to help all three. Without hesitation, he stepped out of his car, walked up to his old friend, and placed the car keys in his hand. He asked his friend to drive the elderly woman to the hospital, ensuring she would receive the help she needed. He knew his friend was a good person and would not refuse. As for himself, he decided to stay at the bus stop with the woman of his dreams. They could talk, get to know each other, and share a moment that could lead to something greater. With this decision, he found a way to help someone in need, show gratitude to a friend, and open the door to love, all in one selfless act.
